Adults

Friendship Club

First Tuesday afternoon of each month

Friendship Club meets on the first Tuesday afternoon each month from September to June. Designed for anyone who wishes to attend, (retired or not) the programme always has varied topics to include health and wellbeing, music, and items of local and historical interest. There is a day trip organised each month, a big Christmas lunch, and a bus trip in the summer. New people are always made very welcome.

Friday Cafe

Friday mornings

Each Friday morning from September to June we have a cafe in our Crosslink area from 10:00am to 11:30am. The cafe has a real buzz about it. People come from the local community to meet up with friends and share in some superb home baking and especially the made to order pancakes. Run by our wonderful volunteers, proceeds from the cafe go to mission work throughout the local area and beyond. You are welcome to drop in any Friday.

Bowls

Tuesday Evenings

Our bowls club meets for a couple of hours each Tuesday evening throughout the autumn and winter. It is warm and welcoming, and all ages are encouraged to come and join in. Membership is made up of those new to the game to those who have been playing for many years. So, if you have been a bowler of many years’ experience or you have never picked up a bowl before and you want to try it for the first time you will be assured of a warm welcome.

Young Adults

Our Young Adults programme is for 18-30 year olds, looking to bridge the gap between youth fellowship and our home groups. During this period of life which can often be difficult and transitional, we provide a supportive Christian environment where new friendships are made and others deepened through a range of events throughout the year, for example BBQs on the beach, bowling and pizza nights.

Women’s Ministry - L4J

Second Tuesday of each month

This is the women’s ministry within our congregation. We usually meet on the second Tuesday night of each month from September to May. Our programme caters for all interests, and we try to build each other up in our Christian faith. This is through friendship and fellowship together. We come under the umbrella of Presbyterian Women and therefore support the Home and Overseas Projects and raise funds for these. The ethos of the Presbyterian Women is to enable, encourage and equip women to become disciples of Christ.

Men’s Ministry - FORGED

Monday Evenings

Proverbs 27:17 (NLT) says “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend”. Our men’s ministry aims to develop deep bonds of friendship and Christian fellowship among our male church family members. Through several events during the year we share the gospel and generally have fun. These events are a great way to invite friends to hear about the love of Jesus. This ministry provides a safe space for men to chat and share life experiences with Jesus at the centre. As part of this ministry we have a men’s football group that meets on Monday evenings.

WAVE (We’re All Valued Equally)

Last Sunday of each month at 3:00pm.

WAVE is for young people and adults who have learning disabilities and meets at 3:00pm on the last Sunday of each month (except July and August). It includes Bible based singing, stories, drama and crafts and welcomes people from all our local churches.

Home Groups

Various days and times

Home Groups are a great place to meet people, journey through God’s word together, pray together, share joys and sorrows with each other, encouraged along the way by coffee, tea, buns and a warm welcome. Our groups meet at a variety of times on different days throughout the week.
